The bench was a featured project in the Jerusalem Design Week 2013. Its concept was to design a piece of furniture that will bring people together during cultural events by playing on our constant need to be connected through our cellular devices. 

During the day, solar panels collect power so that users can charge their cellphones or tablets on wireless charging mats during events. The bench features israeli start up technology, PowerMat, to wirelessly charge devices. During the research process we spent time at the Powermat offices.
